New Guidance document and FAQ on Construction Product Regulation
The publications provide both a detailed technical analysis of the revised CPR framework and practical answers to frequently asked questions from the fire safety and security industry.
Please note: The documents are available exclusively to Euralarm members.
The first document, Guidance on Changes in the CPR 2011–2024, offers a comprehensive overview of the transition from Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 to the proposed Regulation (EU) 2024/3110. It outlines key changes across chapters which have been identified as important for the portfolio of the Euralarm fire section members, including new obligations for economic operators, enhanced environmental sustainability requirements, the introduction of the Digital Product Passport (DPP), and updates to procedures for declarations, CE marking, and market surveillance. In addition, Euralarm has released a dedicated FAQ document addressing key questions raised by members regarding the practical application of the revised CPR. The FAQ provides clarification on topics such as the concept of voluntary vs mandatory harmonised standards and how they interact with delegated acts, definitions and regulatory treatment of used and remanufactured products and the role of the Declaration of Performance and Conformity (DoPC) and its scope under CPR. The FAQ also reflects areas where further clarification from the European Commission is still expected, particularly regarding delegated acts and technical implementation details.
Supporting members through the transition
With the revised CPR introducing significant changes—particularly in digitalisation, sustainability, and regulatory compliance—these publications aim to help Euralarm members prepare for the transition and anticipate future requirements. Euralarm will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as additional guidance and delegated acts are released.
