EUSAS Conference on Fire Detection and Security in the Logistics Sector

The aim of this EUSAS conference is to give an overview of the challenges, developments and use of fire detection and security in the logistics sector. The conference is focused on warehousing and the storage of special risks such as waste of Li-Ion batteries.

The first session gives an introduction into digital innovations for optimizing both, security and fire protection as well as the response to the challenges of this sector. The second session deals with the special risks, problems and solutions in fire protection during the transport of Li-Ion batteries and waste in general. The sessions 3 and 4 will concentrate on examples of fire detection, fire suppression, and fire prevention solutions. Different international approaches and guidelines are compared. A guided tour of the logistics of luggage handling at Zurich airport will finalize the conference.

The conference is aimed at representatives of the logistics industry, of warehouse planners, constructors and users, of the fire and security industry, test institutes, standard developers, practitioners and to scientists, who are interested in engineering and technologies of fire safety and security in the logistics sector.
