Across Europe, electricity has overtaken gas as the dominant cooking fuel. One recent study notes that by 2022 — in the OECD reference — electricity was used for around 45 % of households’ cooking needs, compared with 39 % for gas.

The Euralarm Industry Workshop, held on 24 November 2025 in Athens, brought together industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders for an insightful afternoon focused on strengthening safety, security, and resilience across Europe.
