Focus on Swiss Euralarm Member: SES

SES is the Swiss Association of Installers of Safety and Security Systems. Like many other associations within Euralarm it builds its reputation on a commitment to excellence. In an industry with the objective and purpose to save lives, protect people and property, this is a must.

SES holds a membership in all three Sections of Euralarm, Fire, Security and Services, where it is represented respectively by Lance Rütimann, Henry Tröhler and Felix Hahn.

SES was founded two years after Euralarm itself in 1972 at a time when many pioneering companies in the electronic fire sector came from Switzerland. In the 1980's, the association expanded its scope to include security systems. 2006 saw the beginning of providing trainings to advance the technical skills and competencies needed for a demanding market. Today SES counts 95 companies within its membership representing 90% of the Swiss market.

The requirements to achieve and maintain membership in SES entail demonstrating key aspects of the company. This measure is also the basis for the 'Q Label' introduced in 2011 that calls for compliance with several existing standards but also with a commitment to values such as user and operation friendliness and building long term relationships with clients.

SES members are recognised by the Swiss Insurance Association (SIA) and the Cantonal Fire Insurance Union (VKF). The application standards followed by them are approved by insurers and have virtually value of law in Switzerland.
