The resilience of critical infrastructures is becoming an increasingly strategic priority across Europe, driven by evolving threat landscapes, regulatory developments, and growing interdependencies between physical and digital systems.

While guidance documents such as Euralarm’s Precautionary Measures for Protecting Vital Installations and Facilities,  provide valuable direction, there is currently a significant gap in European standards addressing resilience and perimeter protection in an integrated, practical way. Existing standards tend to be fragmented across disciplines (fire safety, security, construction, ICT, operations), leaving owners, designers, and operators without a coherent framework.

This working session is intended as a starting point for Euralarm guidance documents and structured standardisation activities in the fields of:

  • Resilience of critical infrastructures
  • Protection of vital installations and facilities
  • Perimeter technology and integrated protection concepts
  • Education and information for stakeholders

The session will bring together key stakeholders to identify needs, define scope, and outline next steps toward guidance and future standardisation documents.
