Mr. Keith Shinn elected Chairman of ISO/TC 21/SC 3

Mr. Keith Shinn has been elected Chairman of ISO/TC 21/SC 3. This technical body part of the International Organisation for Standardisation deals with the field  of Fire detection and alarm systems and related work on terminology, classification and symbols, as well as approval of advisory documents relating to the general principles and application of equipment and apparatus for fire protection.

The national standard issued in 2015 considerably reduced the possibility for electronic fire safety products manufacturers to sell their certificated products and to use them in projects.

  • Zug, Switzerland, April 5th, 2017 – Speakers at the Euralarm Symposium 2017 have been announced. The event will take place at the Kensington Close Hotel in London on May 8th, 2017. It will gather fire and security professional installers, system integrators, manufacturers, end users, facility and property managers and certification bodies.
