In 2010 the Section Committee Fire worked on several topics - briefly we want to name some of them like the Euralarm Standardisation Strategy Fire for EN54-14; Polish TRIS and also the IP Task Group made steps forward. The former SC2 was relaunched and continues as TG Fire Standards. The purpose of the group is to monitor and influence standards issues reporting back to the SC Fire. We resigned EFSAC Membership.
This year the Section Fire experienced some personal changes in the Committee and we want to use this opportunity to thank you for your successful cooperation.
Graham Simons as Vice Chairman left the Section Fire Committee and also the TG Fire Standards as Chairman. We want to thank you warmly for your all time commitment for the Committee. As the successor Hans Ulrich Roos was elected by the Section Committee Fire as new Chairman of the TG Fire Standards. Stewart Forbes took over the position as TG Fire Standards secretary. Also Claus Caspari was elected by the Committee as new member of the TG Fire Standards.
Jurgen van Gothem also has to leave the Section Committee Fire because he moved to another position within UTC Fire and Security. Many thanks to Jurgen van Gothem for your engagement in the Section Committee Fire - we wish you all the best for your new challenge.
Hans-Martin Fischer had to withdraw from his function as the Auditor of the Fire Section because he changed his position within the ZVEI. Hans Martin-Fischer was elected at the Euralarm General Assembly 2002 in Lillehammer. Wed like to thank Hans-Martin for his activities as the Auditor of the Fire Section. He was also member of the former Standing Committee SC1. His contribution was also very much appreciated as the legal advisor in the Task Group New Euralarm Statutes. Peter Krapp succeeded Hans-Martin in his function as the General Manager of the ZVEI. Peter Krapp was elected by the members of the Section Fire and we wish him all the best for his new position.
We want to wish all of you every possible success in carrying out your new responsibilities.
