GA2009 in Sorrento: Election of new Euralarm Section Committee members and the Euralarm Board
The new organisation of Euralarm with Section Committees for each of the three sections and an extended Euralarm Board made a new election of the members necessary.
At its first General Assembly under the new Euralarm Statutes Dr. Hansjürg Mahler representing the Swiss members association SES was elected unanimously as the new Euralarm President. Hansjürg Mahler was already Euralarm President since the last GA2008 in Sofia / Bulgaria.
In accordance to the new Euralarm statutes it is the responsibility of the Members Meeting of the sections to elect the members of their Section Committees and also the Chairman and Vice chairman of the section. The Chairman of a section is automatically one of the three Vice presidents of Euralarm.
Additionally each section can elect up to two delegates to become member of the Euralarm Board. The Board of Euralarm can consist of up to 14 members including the Euralarm President and the General Secretary.
