GA2009 in Sorrento: Euralarm members passed New Euralarm Statutes

May 18th, 2009

The Euralarm General Assembly 2009 was a big step forward in making Euralarm fit for the future. The Members of Euralarm passed the New Euralarm Statutes which have been drafted based on the updated Euralarm strategy.

These new statutes extend Euralarm now by a third section for service providers and its associations in the electronic fire and security market. Even under the European Service Directive and also because of the size of this market segment it is important and vital to offer to those companies and associations an appropriate representation in Europe.

Additionally the internal organisation of Euralarm has changed. The daily business will be carried out by the General Secretariat with a General Secretary and a Technical Manager to improve the professionalism in Euralarm. This General Secretariat will be supported by Technical Committees for Marketing, Lobbying, Legal issues and Finance. These Technical Committees are chaired by a Board member and additionally supported by consultants who act on demand.

By this new operational organisation Euralarm intends to improve its visibility and recognition in Europe as the voice of the electronic fire and security market in Europe.
