Notes from the President Rel 9.0 - Brief from the 11th Industry Meeting on EQM

Dear Euralarm members

At the General Assembly in Seville we decided to meet with the Industry Group to present our EQM concept and solicit their support. This meeting took place last week on July 20th and I am very happy to inform you that this meeting was a real success. The attendance of high level executives from the Industry Group was representative for the European F&S industry. We received full support to implement the EQM scheme we presented at the GA from both the Fire and Security representatives. In fact, the representatives from the Industry Group offered their support and attendance in the upcoming negotiations with the key certifiers and other stakeholders. It is clear that we must convince these key

players for our concept and make sure that they participate. While still a lot of very hard and difficult work lies ahead of us the clear sign from the Industry Group in favour of our proposed EQM scheme gave us certainty that we are on the right track. I keep you informed as we go along. The EQM presentation we gave to the Industry Group and the resolutions we agreed on will be available on the Website after we

had the discussion with key stakeholders.
